Buy Bitcoin in India with INR
There are two ways to buy Bitcoin with INR on CoinYatra. In the peer-to-peer marketplace you pay a verified seller by UPI or bank transfer while their BTC sits in escrow. On the spot market you fund your account and place a limit or market order on the live BTC order book.
The live BTC price is shown above in your chosen display currency, and the exact fee appears before you confirm either route.

Buying Bitcoin with INR peer-to-peer
Open the P2P marketplace, pick a sell ad whose price, limits and payment methods suit you, and start an order. The seller's BTC is locked in escrow immediately. Transfer the INR by UPI or bank transfer within the payment window, mark the payment as sent, and escrow releases the Bitcoin to your account once the seller confirms receipt.
- Pay in INR by UPI or bank transfer
- Seller's BTC held in escrow from the moment the order opens
- Ad shows price, limits, payment window and trader record
- Order chat with attachments for payment evidence
- Disputes reviewed by the CoinYatra team with escrow intact
Buying Bitcoin on the spot market
If you already hold USDT or another supported balance, the spot terminal gives you a live order book, candlestick charts with timeframes and moving averages, limit and market orders, open-order management and full trade history. A limit order lets you set the price you are willing to pay; a market order fills against the book immediately.
- Live BTC order book and depth
- Limit and market orders, cancellable while open
- Candlestick charts with timeframes, volume and moving averages
- Trading fee shown on the order ticket before you confirm
After you buy
Bitcoin you buy is held in your custodial CoinYatra account, protected by two-factor authentication and a double-entry internal ledger. You can hold it, swap it, list it for sale in the P2P marketplace, or withdraw it on-chain — withdrawals are reviewed before release, and network fees and minimums are published on the fees page.
